How are you living?
Today I read a wonderful post over at Sparkpluggin by Bill Parlaman called ” A Shocking Dose of Reality!“ It’s something I think of all the time. And now that I have a family it’s even more important to have my business revolve around my lifestyle and not the other way around.
I had a position where my job came first and it was fun at the time, but the reality of it was that I was very lonely and didn’t even have enough time to make friends or enjoy the company of friends I did have. I made the changes I needed to feel good about my life, but now with a family, it’s more important to spend time away from work doing just that (no work). Focusing on my 2 boys and husband so that I can enjoy everything and not ask where has the time gone.
So how are you living? Are you working to live or living to work?

This is a constant struggle for me. It is very hard being a work at home mom and having 3 little ones to take care of at the same time. I get very frustrated. But I have also had to get my priorities together and realize that my family is so much more important and that I really need to be willing to drop what I am doing to be there for them.
Also, thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and share your thoughts. I so appreciate it. And thanks for that scripture. I wrote it down to look up later.
Have an awesome rest of the week, God bless you and your beautiful family!

Are you working to live or living to work? Very good question. Right now I’m working my assets off, trying to find the perfect balance of work and family time.

Working hard at finding what works best right now and the immediate future. This constant reevaluating is tiring and hard work but so necessary. I’m totally enjoying the time with the kids and working on my sanity with online work. It’s tough

Unexpected unemployment has shown me just how much I enjoy doing nothing! I used to think I needed my job to validate my worth, but I’m worth so much more now that I know what really makes me happy. And that’s doing whatever I want

Granted, I miss the paychecks…

Balance is so hard to find. At times where do we draw the line? Most days I feel like throwing the iPhone and laptop out the window, and just pack up the family, and drive down to the beach.

Although I travel a lot for my job, I manage to keep my job in the proper perspective. I understand that it is a means to care for my family and I do not define myself by it.
